StryX emerged from the very same unholy grounds that regurgitated Paul Chain, Antonius Rex and early-Death SS in Le Marche, Italy. Composer and guitarist the Undertaker summoned the Priestess (vocals), the Magus (bass) and the Wraith (drums) in a retro occult-tinted congregation; a blood-thirsty night creature of Greek/Latin origin resembling an owl, Stryx was also a controversial Italian tv show of the ‘70s thematically linked to the devil and the underworld. Their music blends all of the above elements and counter-exorcises the horrors of the catholic church with their psychedelic litanies infused with fatalism and nihility.
